We have found that Waitrose own brand items are consistently well labelled and are clear about their origins. They have a vast range of things at normal everyday prices to keep any household on the British straight and narrow. That said you do still have to read the label as I nearly got caught out on the optimum dishwasher tablets earlier today, Made in the EU!
On the whole Waitrose are really superb at sourcing locally and labeling things clearly so that shopping doesn't have to take forever.
